Hey, everybody, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're take a look at the PTC Custom Fit Cabin Air Filter on our 2019 Ram 1500 classic. So if you guys are experiencing a little bit of allergies inside your cab, you notice a smell that might not be so great, it might just be time to go ahead and replace your filter. Now, Ram does go ahead and suggest every 10,000, 15,000 miles to go ahead and change out both your cabin air and your engine air filter. Your cabin air, probably gonna go ahead and get away with it a little bit sooner, unless of course, like I said, it's experiencing a little bit of unfun symptoms from your cabin air filter. So let's go ahead and see how we can get the new one installed. So all we need to do to go ahead and get it installed, get in your passenger side, drop down your glove box. Now, unfortunately for our neighbor here today, they already had their little tab here broken. This basically just assists you as you drop your glove box, you don't drop it too fast. So you guys are gonna have this right here on the side. All you need to do, simply lift your glove box a little bit like so. You're gonna see this little tab right here on the other side, simply push it down. This is gonna come undone and hang there, unlike this guy, 'cause it was already broken, but then we just need to push here on the inside of our glove box. Walk it out. You have little tabs it just sits in, but the real thing holding it in is those sides, with a gentle push you're gonna go ahead and walk it right out. Then we need to take a look here in the top right corner to start taking a look at the plate that's actually holding in our air filter. So now that we have that with complete access, we wanna take note of our air flow here. Notice that our arrows are indicating down for our air flow. We're gonna have two tabs here. One's gonna be right here on the right side. I'm gonna go ahead and pop it. And one right here on the left, might be a little hard to see, just feel it with the finger. You're gonna feel it real easy. Those are simply gonna pop right out. You can take that plate off. I'll just give you guys a closer look at the air flow. And then we would actually remove our old air filter, unfortunately for this vehicle as well, they don't actually even have a filter in here. So that's kind of why you're seeing all this dust and debris really building up a lot in here. They don't actually have a filter for their system, which is no bueno. So we're gonna go ahead and put in a new one for 'em. So we have our airflow here. Take note of our arrows as well. And of course our airflow was indicating this way. So we're just simply gonna take it, reinsert it, just like so, make sure we're nice and flush and then replace our gate. Now I do have a little bit of a wire that's kind of in my way. I don't know if it's just this vehicle or something specific. So just watch that right side, make sure there's nothing really impacting you, like there is us, and simply reinsert your plate. The last step is just to go ahead and put in your glove box again. Let's make sure we're just finding those tabs, pressing in on our sides. All of course, all we have to do, press those back in. It's gonna seat itself and let's remember to add in our actuator here to help lower that speed as our glove box drops. Well guys, it's a really easy way to go ahead, save yourself a little bit of money at those one-stop spots when you guys are changing the oil or anything. Get a little self-service in your car and just go ahead and hopefully make your air smelling that much better inside your cabin, but that's really all there is to it. Hopefully your guys isn't too bad, but if it is, go ahead, grab yourself a replacement that way you have some nice fresh air. Otherwise guys, I think that about does it for our look at the PTC Custom Fit Cabin Air Filter on our 2019 Ram 1500 classic. I'm Bobby, thank you for watching..
