Heartbreak Ridge above Ballater is a local trail icon. With a climb to test your legs and your soul, the views more than make up for the effort. But what is earned with burning those cranks is simply sublime. 4KM of natural fast epic singletrack that can be cruised or attacked, but never underestimated. The grippy slabs and loss dust or thick mud depending on the weather and your luck all combine to make a trail that makes a neat 17km loop starting and ending on Ballaters highstreet.
