If you're planning to buy the Honda Passport, you can also explore expected financing options, including an estimated down payment starting from ₹4.30 lakh (approx) in New Delhi. Since Honda resurrected the Passport nameplate in 2019, it’s played the part of a mild-mannered, two-row SUV, plying the middle ground between the smaller CR-V and larger three-row Pilot. Over that time period, many competitors have amped up their brawn factor, or at least the appearance thereof—we see you Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition and Hyundai Santa Fe XRT. The redesigned 2026 Honda Passport isn’t taking that lying down, meeting them head-on with a rugged appearance and hardware upgrades intended to help it retake some ground on both the showroom floor and on the trail. The improvements include a stiffer chassis, a beefed-up suspension, fresh styling and tech inside, and an exterior that looks to be the product of a torrid love affair between a Toyota 4Runner and a Ford Bronco Sport—and we mean that as a compliment. The 3.5-liter V-6 returns with additional ponies, and a new-to-the-Passport 10-speed automatic transmission funnels output to an upgraded all-wheel-drive system. There’s more rear-seat and cargo room thanks to a longer wheelbase, plus a shorter front overhang to increase the approach angle—the better to climb over obstructions on the trail. The TrailSport trim level features the most off-road equipment, but there's also an RTL model for those whose daily commutes are more about pavement than rock-crawling. While the 3.5-liter V-6 returns, it gets a slight power bump of five ponies for a total of 285. The former nine-speed automatic is swapped out for 10-speed, which sends its output to Honda’s i-VTM4 torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system. The new Passport rides on a longer wheelbase and has a wider track, and ground clearance is now up a smidge to 8.3 inches. Interior updates include a new, larger, infotainment screen and standard heated seats, and we’re happy to report there's an optional picnic table. Honda’s 285-hp 3.5-liter V-6 paired with a 10-speed automatic is the sole available powertrain. Honda’s i-VTM4 all-wheel-drive system also makes its Passport debut in the 2026 model. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ DISCLAIMER UNDER SECTION 107 OF THE COPYRIGHT ACT 1976 ALLOWANCE IS MADE FOR ' FAIR USE' FOR NEWS REPORTING , TEACHING , SCHOLARSHIP , AND RESEARCH, FAIR USE IS PERMITTED BY COPYRIGHT STATUTE THAT MIGHT OTHERWISE BE INFAIRING NON-PROFIT EDUCATIONAL OR PERSONAL USE TIPS THE BALANCE IN FAVOR OF FAIR USE ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
