The Proton Trail: Pure Perfection Finally?

We're excited for another stack of MVP releases! This time, Kellan and Jordan are putting them to the test in a nine-hole, worst-shot doubles challenge. Will the Proton Trail offer the stability they need to tackle the long fairways at Central? Is the Particle Glow Eclipse plastic more overstable? Let's find out! HOW DOES THE MVP TRAIL FLY? This is one of the trickiest questions to answer correctly. Why? Well, the variation in the stability of the Trail is prize-worthy. Some are rollers, some are straight as an arrow, while others fight like an overstable distance driver. A Neutron Trail with an average parting line height (PLH) usually features a fairly straight flight, depending on your arm speed. The average Fission Trail (from the special edition release in August of 2025) offers a lot of dome and a more understable flight. The typical Proton Trail from this release provides a more overstable finish than the standard Neutron run, giving golfers more confidence in a consistent finish at the end of the flight. Hence, many disc golfers easily justify bagging more than one Trail.
