My Lyrics and Stylistic Suggestions: Mark Gammell All Else: AI, on Suno.com Inspiration: Today I decided to revisit a poem I wrote for a friend's 40 birthday about 22 years ago. Today I made it into a song with the help of AI and a slideshow. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us he passed away no too long after I wrote this. This is what resulted. I am very pleased with it, and I hope everyone likes it. I recently got turned on to Suno.com. I am trying to create a song daily. I was recently encouraged by Chatgpt to make music videos with iMovie using my photos and videos as a means to get my wares out there. I think it adds to the impact of any song. It was too much work to have my lyrics show up in the video, so I just pasted them below. End Goal: I'm teaching myself the craft of song writing, I am retired, and have the goal of marketing some or all of these songs someday in Nashville, etc. I would love to get some of them recorded by a real crooner artist, his band, and by a real music studio. I play the guitar and sing, but after some serious health issues, I can do neither well. Song writing may be the only way left for me to really scratch my musical itch. :-) If you have any suggestions, I am all ears. :-). Thanks. Lyrics To: The What's Your Price Game. (Intro) Dennis is gone, but his memory stays I wrote him a poem in my younger days (Verse 1) Congrats to Dennis on the big four-O What's there to cheer, I don't know One step closer to death Just fewer breaths left Hardly makes you feel like saying Ho-Ho. (Chorus 1) Rough times may come, though they sting And yet they never kill a thing They humble our heart They steady our part And let our lives really sing. (Verse 2) But while we're at it let me say On this commemorative day Thanks for being a friend Thick and thin to the end Forever with us you must stay (Chorus 2) Rough times may come, though they sting And yet they never kill a thing They humble our heart They steady our part And let our lives really sing. (Bridge) Now, there's no one home, but I knock If we could turn back the clock That was never allowed To have known you I am proud Should have taken more time to talk. (Verse 3) If poetic, you let me wax As these few lines I do scratch For my good friend Dennis Who's never a menace Only a joy to be around....no wise cracks! (Chorus 3) Rough times may come, though they sting And yet they never kill a thing They humble our heart They steady our part And let our lives really sing. (Outro) Dennis is gone, but his memory stays I wrote him a poem in my younger days
