This foil repair kit makes it easy to repair surface scratches on your foils by filling them with the quick drying crayon like marker pen, then wet sanding it smooth.  The result is improved performance and clean looking gear.  See video for more details and instructions. You can apply it over all low spots and fill scratches. After it dries, you can apply a second (or more) layers to make sure all the low spots are completely filled in with the solid paint. Once it is completely dry, you use the 1000grit wet sandpaper pad (soft pad contours to curves in foil but still results in a level surface.  The paint is wet sanded off the surface so only the paint filling the scratches remains. To get a super smooth finish, wet sand it with the 2000 grit wet sand paper wrapped around the sanding pad.   I have found that repairing scratches on your foil makes a noticeable difference in how smooth the foil performs, especially at high speeds, I definitely recommend giving it a try!
