FOR SALE 1937 Delage D6-70 26113 mile (Unknown) serial# 51277 chassis#135 Right-Hand Drive (RHD), Inline 6-cylinder 2729cc, 4MT with Cotal Electromagnetic Transmission. Born in the outskirts of Paris, France in 1905, Delage initially gained prominence as a racing car constructor alongside Bugatti in the 1920s. However, by the 1930s, they evolved into a manufacturer producing luxury cars like the D6 and D8 based on customer orders. Featuring modern design, a high-performance chassis, an electromagnetic 4MT operable at the fingertips, and a powerful engine, these luxury vehicles were once considered the pinnacle of high-end automobiles. Regrettably, production ceased before World War II, marking the end of an era. Among the few vehicles preserved in motion around the world, this car stands out as a museum-worthy piece in Japan. Acquired from the Paul Newman Collection in Ireland through the enthusiasm of a dedicated classic car collector, it underwent meticulous maintenance, obtained a new 3-year vehicle inspection, and now stands in perfect running condition.
