Do you find yourself at times navigating feelings of anxiety, stress, and self-doubt when writing or studying? If you do, it just means you are human like everyone else! This video is about an intention setting strategy that I use to experience preferred emotions and feelings when writing and studying. Doing so promotes my focus, productivity, creativity, and quality of work. I am also finding that using this strategy helps me to ward off challenging or negative thoughts and/or manage them should they arise. Again- if this happens to you sometimes, know it just makes you human. My approach was inspired by the findings of a study conducted by Brendon Burchard and his team, which are outlined in the following book: Burchard, B. (2017). High performance habits: How extraordinary people become that way. California: Hay House. You can find copies of the book on Amazon and on Brendon's website: https://brendon.com/books/ Note: As of the time of publishing this video, Brendon will send you a free copy if you order the book via his website as long as you don't mind receiving future emails/offers from him. All you need to do is pay for shipping. I've really enjoyed this book- plenty of ideas transferable to a host of academic and professional settings. Please give this video a thumbs up/ like if you enjoyed it. Doing so will help others who share our interests to know that it is a good video.
