Typhochlaena costae - "The Pink-Punk Blue Jewel Tarantula"- is such a rare tarantula, that in most countries it's not available for sale - therefore making it not only the most beautiful and extraordinary colored tarantula out there but also the most expensive tarantula as of today. In this video, we shine the light on this beautiful blue-yellow, and pink dwarf tarantula from the genus Typhochlaena, which has not yet any common name, and highlight natural history data, field studies, and a general overview about Typhochlaena and its sister species. Typhochlaena curumim is another species that has the same status as T. costae, making it extremely sought after in the tarantula community.
