Seiko has an amazing collection of iconic dive watches starting from the first 62MAS, the SKX, Captain Willard, Marinemaster 300, Sumo, Shogun, Tuna, and the Samurai. I have experienced each one of these watches and I love each one but when I heard that Seiko was releasing the SPB453 and SPB451 (24MAS), new updated versions of the ever popular SPB143 62MAS (20MAS), I was instantly curious but at the same time I wasn’t that excited. Especially considering that I already owned the SPB383 the Marinemaster 200 GMT. In fact I love it so much that I said that if I could own only one Seiko it would be the MM200 GMT. Fast forward to now, I've been wearing my SPB453 more than my new Tudor Black Bay 41 Monochrome and my SPB383 MM200 GMT, and I don't want to take it off my wrist. I felt sad taking it off when I was going to sleep the first night and I was excited to wear it in the morning. This type of reaction happens very rarely. But even still I wanted to compare these two incredible dive watches from Seiko. So in this video I’m going to compare the new 2024 SPB453 62MAS and the SPB383 MM200 GMT by getting into the details about their on the wrist experiences, their cases, dials, bezels, and functions. AND as promised I’m also announcing my 20k subscriber watch giveaway in this video so stay tuned for details on how to enter.
