Qatar National Day was Celebrated with great warmth and joy in the presence of parents, staff, students and special guests from the Museum of Islamic Art. Students took out a serpentine processional parade led by the school band and bearers of ‘One Love’, an iconic symbol of Qatari hospitality to millions of expatriates living in Qatar. The parade started with a solemn salute which Mr. Salem Al Sawad, Deputy Director at Museum of Islamic Art along with Mr. Lukose Chacko, chairman, Mr. Gope Shahani, vice chairman, Principal A P Sharma and others senior officials. Linda Lukose, head girl, read out the pledge, ‘Long live Qatar, Long Live the Emir, Long Live Father Emir, we love Qatar” which the whole school repeated resoundingly. Mr. Salem Al Aswad, the chief guest, recalled the services rendered by Indians serving Qatar in various service sectors saying, “Service rendered by Indian people in Qatar is remarkable and you contributed greatly in building our nation.” Mr. Abdullah Al Dowsari, head of visitors ‘services, MIA was the guest of honour.
