How can you forget me? Cipriano Rudy Delvo and the Filipino American Labor Movement.

Therese Delvo travels from Stockton, California to Washington DC for the opening of “How Can You Forget Me: Filipino American Stories,” running at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. This exhibit documents Filipino American life during a period when migrants faced restrictive immigration laws and racial segregation. It showcases 26 steamer trunks discovered in 2005 in Stockton, California, which once held the largest Filipino population outside the Philippines. One of the trunks contained documents and items owned by Therese's grandfather, Cipriano Rudy Delvo, a member of the Filipino Labor Movement.
