"Ebb Tide" is a popular song, written in 1953 by the lyricist Carl Sigman and composer Robert Maxwell. Just who were the John Norman Singers? In fact, who was John Norman? After doing a deep internet search, all that I can tell you is that they made some fantastic recordings in the early 60’s for Reader’s Digest on their marvelous recordings purchased by millions! The recordings were with the RCA Symphony Orchestra! All of their available music has been incorporated into beautiful music albums by Professor Howdy. Could it possibly have something to do with QUALITY? These songs can never be popular again (sadly) because of the change of WORLDVIEW in most people. There once was a strong Chr1st1an Worldview in America that once made this music possible even if the composers were non-Chr1st1an… *** Easy listening (sometimes known as mood music) is a popular music genre and radio format that was most popular during the 1950s to 1970s.Encompasses instrumental recordings of standards, hit songs and popular non-rock vocals generally hit songs from the previous three decades & enhanced with mostly soft strings & Pops Orchestra. Easy Listening sounds had its origins between the Big Band Era & Rock & Roll. Studies have shown that more than half the population is tone-deaf & unable to distinguish the differences between “Easy Listening” music & “Elevator Music”. The main difference is the depth of instrumentation of the orchestra & PASSION! *** REMEMBER TO LIKE & SUBSCRIBE! Summer Music - 1930s - 1960s! Romantic & Beautiful! (Analogy Doesn't Work For Other Religions!) - Ephesians 5:22-32 *** Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. “For you shall go out with joy, And be led out with peace; The mountains and the hills Shall break forth into singing before you, And all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, And instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; And it shall be to the Lord for a name, For an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.” *** Each one of us needs to look after the good of the people around us, asking ourselves, “How can I help?” That’s exactly what J.e.s.u.s did. He didn’t make it easy for Himself by avoiding people’s troubles but waded right in and helped out.
