I Created a Fantasy Language for a Disney+ Series. Here’s What Happened.

A few years ago, I was asked to design a conlang for the Disney+ original series Dragons of Wonderhatch. Unlike personal worldbuilding projects, this involved tight deadlines, production schedules, actor rehearsals, and practical constraints. In this video, I share what production conlanging is really like — from building a functional phonological system in about a week to preparing structured audio for actors and balancing linguistic precision with on-set efficiency. Conlanging in film is less about perfection and more about clarity, collaboration, and time management.
