Southwark Foodbank

The Southwark Foodbank opened in Peckham in 2010. In the past 9 years, it has expanded from 1 to 5 centres, open 5 days a week to serve people experiencing food poverty. In 2018-2019, Southwark Foodbank fed nearly 6000 people in Southwark. Each year, we see a rise in the need for foodbanks. We provide people with three day emergency parcels and through our More Thank Food service, are working hard to find solutions to the root causes of people's need for the foodbank and refer them to organisations who can help with those needs. We join the Trussell Trust in campaigning to the government to make effective legislative changes to make a real difference in the everyday lives of people.
