A major magnitude 7.6 earthquake just struck offshore of Indonesia, triggering severe damage and a tsunami that even reached part of the Philippines. This earthquake lasted for nearly 30 seconds and occurred in a strange and highly unusual geologic setting. Today's video will analyze what exactly happened through the perspective of a geologist.
