Tell us a tale grandfather dear, sing us an epic we long to hear, we'll sit upon your trembling knee, and perk our minds so joyfully. Sit thee down my childless ones, and hear of Rave, of setting suns, of a far off world beyond all compare, and the masterless beings living there. The song of Rave I dreamt of when, my gift had not been put to pen, when LSD I thought a god, and heroin I used to nod. At that time Rave was not used on hair, nor at that age did I seek the laudable reviewer's lair, Rave to me had always meant, the madness of reality starkly spent. For Rave was a land by far too bright, with more than one sun it knew no night, its light rays did burn their skin so fair, and melt their minds so they might not care. But Rave was a world of the masterless ones, who sought to master these unsettling suns, its inhabitants thought nature completely inane, and feared solar insanity 'til wholly insane. And so they set their minds quite fixed, on solar obliteration by chemicals mixed, and lo and behold the settings of suns, did cool burnt flesh of the masterless ones. But then came iced darkness, the absence of light, for Rave was now doomed to perpetual night, and insanity past yielded to insanity forever more, and this then is the essence of Rave's maddening lore.
