This video filmed last summer on the Curonian Spit, on a stretch of the Baltic Sea where the remains of a relict forest still stand. These protruding stumps are not tall, but the energy of this place is unmistakable. Even through the video, its power can be felt in the sound of the waves — a mix of calm and deep stillness. I used to come here often, talking to the forest, sharing my thoughts and hopes with it. There is also a binaural audio recording made in this very spot: I was standing knee-deep in the water, holding a multichannel microphone, recording the sound of the place. It allows you to hear not only the sea, but also how the stones move along the shore under the force and motion of the waves, adding a certain kind of quiet magic to the experience. HDR Dolby Vision.
