This is flight 14 of 24 from my recent trip where I flew around the Caribbean. In January, I set out to fly to as many places in the Caribbean as possible, and after 12 days, 13 airlines, 24 flights, and over 10,000 miles, I landed back in Kansas City, Missouri after visiting 14 different countries & territories. There have been reports of them failing to make aircraft and airport lease payments for quite some time now, even leading to company filing for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in December of 2024. So I knew that taking these two flights was a risk as there was literally zero guarantee they'd even operate. Well, they did as you're now seeing both of them on the channel... That said, it would appear that not long after I took these two flights on Silver that N408SV (the aircraft I flew on for both flights) was repossessed by the leasing company on February 28, 2025 when the aircraft was flown to Fort Worth and then on to Sioux Falls. Basically one month after I took this flight. So, this flight and the previous flight I posted on Wednesday are likely the last footage that will have ever been filmed on this aircraft in Silver Airways' possession. Now... I want to make it abundantly clear that I do not wish any ill will towards Silver. I just think this whole situation is interesting enough for it be the extra fact for this flight. I have flown them many times now and I think they fill a niche market that the U.S. really does need. I think they genuinely are a good airline that's just in a tough spot now.
