Friday 10th May 2024 a historic day for Great Victoria Street. Great Victoria Street/GVS shut permanently on Friday 10th May 2024. the original Great Victoria Street/GVS station opend in 1839 & then shut In 1976 then it reopened in 1995 as a new station & served till 2024. the station will be replaced by the brand new Belfast Grand Central station being built next to it & its due to open in Autum 2024 enterprise services will operate from it the station will have alot of Railway platforms. Now that Great Victoria Street/GVS is closed to public the station will get demolished & track work for Connecting Grand Central to the mainline will take place. 3000 Class DMU 3012 done the 23:32 to Bangor the final ever train into GVS & the final train to depart the station. 112 also made an apprence I have a video of it. All I can say now is Farewell Great Victoria Street 1839 to 1976 / 1995 to 2024.
