Newly renovated, state-of-the-art space opening near Hippodrome

A newly renovated community entertainment space will soon open in the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center. The M&T Bank Exchange will host a wide range of affordable, educational, outreach and entertainment programs next door to the Hippodrome Theatre. WBAL-TV 11 News took a look inside the building as crews continue to work on the finishing touches before the space opens to the public to enjoy some of Baltimore's big events, to learn and to connect. "The Exchange is really about exchanging ideas and about exchanging art and exchanging stories because, literally, Baltimore is a storytelling city, and we want to tell everybody's story," said Ron Legler, the president of the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center.
