KC Presents - EAS Scenario #6: Lost in Silence - A Non-Nuclear Situation Hello everybody, and welcome to the latest installment of my EAS Scenario Series, my sixth one entitled "Lost in Silence: A Non-Nuclear Situation". It's been nearly a year since my last video, and I apologize in advance for that. Too many real life situations caused me to have a lack of time and planning, with being overworked and dealing with family health issues. But that is now hopefully under control for a bit, so I figured I would get this scenario out there! Throughout YouTube's Emergency Alert System fanbase, you'll find a popular type of scenario that is done are the "Lost in Silence" types, that usually have the storyline of the EAS not functioning properly, or in other cases, incorrect information being transmitted to the public. Most of the time, these end with some type of nuclear attack against the country, and by the time everything is said and done, it's too late for the public to properly act. I've seen a lot of these types of storylines, and while I always love a good nuclear attack scenario, I wanted to do a "Lost in Silence" story that was completely different. Different in the case that I wanted to know what it would be like if such a situation happened that was, not as destructive, but maybe more possible. (Not that this storyline would ever happen, but it's something that could potentially happen.) It's kind of hard to give a storyline that is supposed to be based on the element of surprise, so we will just have to end that here. I will say, that compared to my previous videos, this situation contains a storyline that may be unsettling for certain people, and therefore viewer discretion is advised. During this video, I tried a few new things. A few different types of screens, including one that a station would use locally with a station logo slide, as well as another standard one that is commonly used in the current era. I also for the first time included actual "news coverage" of what was going on, and this also marks the first time that I did some brief voice acting for a video. (Not a professional by far, but it was the only way that I could make a specific section of the video work as most text to speech products do not allow you to change emotion. Something I never thought of until I was making this video.) It should be noted that the situation shown in this video, is not inspired by any actual events that happened in real life, and it is 100% fictional in nature. None of the events that are shown in this scenario actually happened. There was an inspiration from an episode of "Rescue 911" that I watched as a kid and got reintroduced to thanks to recent reruns of the series. (I'll put a link to that episode down below, please watch it when you are done with this video to see the common denominators.) However, because this is a work of fiction, remember that any similarities between any real life persons, living or dead, physical locations, landmarks, products and situations that are found within this scenario are purely coincidental. This project contains actual Specific Area Message Encoder (S.A.M.E.) headers and footers that are used to engage actual Emergency Alert System activations, or are reserved for potential future use. As a method of preventing an accidental or intentional real life EAS activation, multiple tones for different events are played at the same time as a method of distortion. While this process may or may not prevent an actual activation of EAS equipment, be reminded that using this video to enable a real EAS activation is punishable by fines or imprisonment. Do not play this video in full or in part on any radio or television stations equipped with Emergency Alert System devices. The creator of this video is not responsible for any actual activations that may occur by playing this presentation over traditional airwaves. Also, please do not reupload, or retransmit this video, in part or in it's entirety, without asking for prior permission from the creator. I have no problem if you want to use a part of the video for a project of your own, but please get in touch with me beforehand so we can discuss it further. I want to thank everyone over the course of the last few months that have decided to subscribe to the channel, and a huge shout out to everyone that gave me constructive criticism over previous videos. I love hearing from you and reading your comments, as I approach 100 subscribers! These videos are a complete labor of love and I am happy to see that people are for the most part enjoying them. Keep those comments coming. (But in all cases, make it constructive!) Have a great day, be safe, and be good to one another! Link to Rescue 911 Episode: • Rescue 911 - "Mystery Dispatch"
