River Fishing for MONSTER Trout!! (Lost my Biggest Ever..)

Springtime fishing is one of the best times to catch GIANT trout in rivers! They’re waking up from their winter funk, and starting to feed heavily. I noticed the trout were coming up to the surface for bugs, but since I did not have my fly rod, I was stuck using my usual lineup of lures such as a spinner, jerk bait, and small swim bait. I caught a few decent trout, but nothing compared to the 20 inch BEAST of a brown trout I hooked just a short while after! My biggest brown trout ever from this river! The day was looking good until a couple hours after where I hooked into the biggest Cutthroat trout of my life that spit the hook right at my feet.. sometimes you catch the bigguns, and sometimes you don’t, but that’s what keeps you going out time and time again!
