Building A GTWR Inspired Slow Speed Diamond Grinder for Carbide Scrapers

So I always wish that I knew the parameters that affect a DIY build before I begin to attempt it, like "what makes the most difference?" or "What parts do I have to really care about and what parts can I afford to fudge?" Well with that in mind, I decided to make these videos the way I wish I could have 'em, in the hopes that they'll help others. So in this video I go over the parameters of what makes a good DIY slow speed diamond grinder, or diamond lap. Using some cheap lappidary/polishing diamond wheels and a windscreen wiper motor, I was able to make a little tool that really helps sharpen tungsten carbide lathe tools & even carbide sandvik scraper blades.
