1/350 Scale USS Ronald Reagan CVN-76 Model

This is a model of the USS Ronald Reagan, CVN-76. It is the ninth Nimitz class carrier and was the first to begin incorporating some of the new items into it that are now coming out on the new Ford Class carrier. I made this model from the Trumpeter kit for the USS Nimitz, CVN-68. In order to make the Reagan I had to make a number of changes, particularly with the Island and with a number of the sponsons that hold various weapons and electronics, with a number of the radomes, and other equipment and structure that differ from the Nimtz. I also completely built out the hanger deck and added a lighting system to it...as you will see in the video. It was a very fun build. I purchased modern aircraft for the air wing and set it up as it will appear in the mid 2020s and later, with F-35C stealth aircraft, F/A-18F Super Hornets, EA-18G Growler electronic warfare aircraft, E-2D Advanced Hawkeye AEW aircraft, and the new V-22 Osprey COD (Carrier on-board Delivery) aircraft. I probably have 400 or more hours into building it. I hope you enjoy taking a look!
