I'm by no means an expert; I just have a decent understanding of how cases work after having done 10 of them. So here, I wanted to give some advice to other new case competition enthusiasts since so many people at IU helped me out and continue to help. Here is a written summary of the content in the video: -Get a team: Usually 4-5 people who are driven and are team-oriented. If you have the chance to do a case with someone who is older than you…. Do it for sure. Great learning experience. -Read case and determine key question. Also do some research on company if they exist. -Organize your work-flow with agenda and Box/Google Drive -Generate your ideas and maybe even do a tree diagram, think about value chain and assets -Research evidence supporting solutions and pick one…. Also make it memorable -Delegate Slide Content….. Typical flow of slides Title Slide Meet the Team! Your company is cool! You have an issue tho Possible Options to fix it Special slide explaining best option It will work for these 3 reasons. Reason 1 Reason 2 Reason 3 Brief Recap of last 6 slides Expected Costs and Revenue of our idea How/when you’re going to do it (timeline!) Risks n mitigation Recap (pretty similar to previous recap) Q&A (possibly hyperlink suggested topics to appendices) Many appendices to show you know your stuff -Have slides demonstrate research with figures and business developments that support your idea… -Good research sources include all your school’s databases and articles from firms you and your peers want to work at including but not limited to: Accenture Bain & Co Boston Consulting Group Credit Suisse Deloitte EY Goldman Sachs JP Morgan Chase KPMG Mckinsey & Co PwC -Make presentation content beautiful -Determine speaking order and practice individually than together -Present and have fun :) Hope you enjoy the video: God bless!
