Struggling With Your Dog Indoors? Learn How to Teach the PLACE Command to Your Companion Pet

The PLACE command is a behavior you can teach your pet companion to show them how to settle down. You can use it when people come over, when the doorbell rings or even to get them to settle and lay while you conduct some chores. Lure your dog with some of their food onto the board, mark it with "yes" and allow them to come to you for the reward. You can also use the leash first to guide them using slight pressure towards the board, blanket, cot, etc.. when they show commitment to the designated area, release the pressure and mark when all four paws get on.
