Because I know, once I fall asleep I will wake up and in the snap of a finger hours will have past, without me fully living them. A new day will have begun and the turning of time makes me anxious. It's 2:30 in the morning and I'm tired. My eyelids feel especially heavy and my thoughts are slow. But I don't want to sleep. I still have time, till I have to get up and do something. Before I have to get back into normal life. I still have 6 hours before I'll be expected to function like a normal human being. Before I have to face my problems and expectations, find solutions and deal with them. I'm running away from daily life. I'm a coward and I'm running away. But if I sleep, I won't have any time at all.
