In this community produced video, Saif Osmani, from Friends of Queen’s market, tours five East London Street markets, showcasing their importance to local communities and businesses, and the threats to their future. This video is the first instalment in an ongoing series that explores, with a wider range of street market stakeholders, how decision making around markets can and should be co-produced with traders, customers and local authorities. This film is an initiative of Friends of Queen’s Market and the Fairville London Lab. It is part of the broader Fairville programme, aimed at tackling urban inequalities and fostering participatory democracy.
