A Lipoma is a fatty lump which grows slowly and it gradually gets manifested as a benign tumor on the neck, limbs, back, shoulders. They are usually harmless and are mostly situated beneath the skin and just above the muscle layer. On touching it feels like a soft rubbery lump. Occurrence:- Lipoma can occur at any age in males or females. But in majority of the cases they are found in people belonging to the age bracket of 40 years to 60 years. It is usually non-cancerous.
