On June 2, a tragic three-train collision in Odisha's Balasore killed over 290 people and injured over 900 people. The accident is already India's worst rail disaster in 18 years. Human error and signal failure might have been to blame, The New Indian Express has learnt. The New Indian Express got in touch with Markose, a native of Chennai who miraculously escaped the accident. Markose also helped rescue many people along with fellow survivors. He recounts the horrifying scenes he witnessed at the accident site.
