After building rolling stock for 35 years I decided that I had better build a layout on which to display it. I have always been fascinated by the S & D and after some deliberation decided that Writhlington filled the bill. Braysdown Colliery on the opposite side of the line closed during the fifties although the overgrown sidings can be seen in the foreground of the model. First exhibited at Bradford on Avon in 2009 the final one was at Warley in 2013. In its time it has received two 'Best in Show' awards and been featured in Hornby Magazine and Model Rail magazine and it can now be seen on permanent display in Radstock Museum.
