Tracklist 0:00 Huge Battleship Invincible 1:11 Dark Crystals (Dark World Theme) 2:17 The Forbidden Land Eureka 3:05 Final Battle We've been wanting to do this one ever since we covered Cave Where the Crystal Lies for our FamilyJules7x entry. In fact someone might even have mentioned that we should do more. So we did! And it was so much fun. You could see this as a sort of "endgame medley", the four last songs in the game, culminating with the Final Battle theme! Our arrangements are mostly based off the rearranged FF3 DS tracks, which really gave a whole new feeling to some already incredibly well composed pieces. Huge Battleship Invincible, the opening song of the medley, has been one of my favourites ever since I first played the game. We decided to completely rearrange it after listening to way too much Sigur Ros, in particular the song Gong from their album Takk. Check it out, it's amazing. Forbidden Land Eureka, the third song of the medley, is another favourite. It's a truly epic piece which we just had to add some organ and choirs to! We ended up trying to go for a "rock in a cathedral" kind of thing. I think the song worked pretty well! For Final Battle, we tried to get an 8-bit sound of a guitar and I feel like Anne-So did a really good job there! It blew me away, haha! We also went for a 90s style alt-rock rhythm guitar sound in the outro, since that's one of our big influences. We were running late for most of this cover and I only just finished mastering it a few hours ago. I couldn't bring out the high register of the bass drum as much as I'd have liked, unfortunately. So that'll be something to improve on for the next ones. Hopefully they'll have less simultaneous tracks too! Anne-Sophie says : I've never played Final Fantasy but the DS soundtrack always amazes me. I'm particularly happy with my 8 bit sound, The Forbidden Land of Eureka, and with how the medley turned out in general. Get ready for special covers in the weeks to come, as part of our one year anniversary of this channel. Thank you so much guys for all your kind and helpful comments. All songs in this medley were composed by Nobuo Uematsu, except the outro, composed by The Black Mages.
