(8 Feb 1999) Israelis and Palestinians remained in sombre mood on Monday, following the death of King Hussein of Jordan. The late king will be buried in Jordan later on Monday, in a ceremony attended by a host of world leaders, including Prime Minister Netanyahu and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat. The monarch died on Sunday following a battle against cancer, throwing the Middle East region into mourning. Flags are flying at half mast in Jerusalem and Gaza, and the streets are quiet. The feelings of loss are shared by Israelis and Palestinians alike. SOUNDBITE: (English) "We lost everything with King Hussein."
