Starting near Puerto Inca, I explore ancient coastal ruins, ride the Pan-American Highway between desert and ocean, and run into an unexpected landslide that stops traffic for miles. What starts as a peaceful coastal ride turns into a day full of contrasts — history, solitude, chaos, and freedom — all in one stretch of road.
