Christmas in every single definition of the holiday for most countries is over now, as of yesterday (January 6th)...unless of course, you're in Ethiopia, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Serbia, the Republic of Macedonia or the Republic of Moldova, to which if you are: Merry Christmas! ;D But I digress, to me January is a real slog of a month as I feel so deeply about Christmas and even the run-up to it as well and January is usually such an annoyingly bland month as a result of this so for any who feel the same way and like the weird, nerdy stuff I like...voila! This should help you feel right back to how things were 2 weeks ago. You're welcome! ;) This comes from Channel 4's Christmas Eve 2012 airing of "The Muppet Christmas Carol" (to me, no Christmas is complete without this film!) and it also has a junction leading onto an episode of "The Simpsons" that followed. Enjoy! CONTENTS!: 1) Just 2 seconds at the end of a promo for "Gordon's Christmas Cookalong" (Partial...obviously) 2) Channel 4 ident featuring "The Snowman and The Snowdog" ("Michael Caine, Kermit and Miss Piggy...what else could you actually want for the big day?" I'm not sure if she sounds annoyed or what... xD Ah well, really beautiful ident here!) 3) Some sort of castle, I dunno / Buzzbuzzbuzzbuzz / Kermit looks forward to Christmas while a bunny freezes to death / Channel 4 ID title card w/ "The Muppet Christmas Carol" (By the way, I recorded this through 4 HD but I will still count it as Channel 4 as its literally the same channel, just one's on HD and the other isn't.) 4) Carphone Warehouse ad 5) B&Q ad 6) TV ad for "Wonderbook: Book of Spells" video game 7) TV ad for "Playing for Keeps" 8) Armani Code ad (Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without terrible perfume ads!) 9) Dove Nourishing Body Lotions ad 10) YouView ad 11) Oakfuritureland.co.uk ad 12) Sainsbury's ad (This was a charming ad campaign.) 13) Thomson ad 14) LoveFilm Instant ad (Why do advertisers LOVE to celebrate Winter during Christmas but denounce it as the worst season ever outside of Christmas? Seems so bi-polar. Also, IMO I tried LoveFilm Instant and I think Netflix is far better so before anyone asks, there we go!) 15) TV ad for PlayStation 3 video games console (The grandad figure by the end is awesome.) 16) HP Envy X2 ad (I got a PC recently and did my best to get mine as quick as possible so I can avoid the FUDGE out of Windows 8. Jeez.) 17) Channel 4 ID sting / Promo for "The Snowman and The Snowdog" (Pleh.) 18) ... / "I suppose you enjoyed that!" / Channel 4 ID title card w/ "The Muppet Christmas Carol" 19) TV ad for "Wonderbook: Book of Spells" video game 20) Phones 4u ad (Christmas ads that are unironically funny are a great combination of two great tastes.) 21) Wickes ad 22) TV ad for "Quartet" 23) Tesco ad (I never, ever liked this ad campaign and the only reason I'm glad Christmas is over is to know this is over too. That said, the special ad they did for Christmas Day itself was sweet and very well put together.
