The film no-one in the world should miss who cares about the health of the global ecosystems and the damage chemicals are doing to our environment. Australia's use of chemicals have skyrocketed and new aerial programs now place these chemicals into our source waters. Rivers and currents circulate these around the world causing algal blooms and toxic tides. This is the inconvenient truth of climate change. Toxic Waters depicts the beauty of Australia's South-East Queensland region and the chemical prrograms that threaten all life on the planet. The country of Australia (has many indigenous names) features several of the world's most significant and unique watersheds and groundwater systems. However in this story we focus on the South East Queensland region which holds some of the countries most vital watersheds. The health of these watersheds can dictate the health of the entire country as they feed some of the worlds great inland water reservoirs as well as rivers that flow to the sea essentially nourishing the entire east coast of Australia and the currents of the world.. At all costs Australia's network of freshwater systems should be keep pristine but what happens when these ecosystems are poisoned over and over again over with toxic chemicals across one of the most biodiverse regions of the country, South East Queensland. In this film we explore the vital watersheds of this region and their connections to the great reservoirs of this country. The Great Artesian Basin, Lake Eyre Basin and the Murray–Darling Basin Australia's largest river. Not only do we investigate the connections of these great watersheds and waterways but how currently one of the largest and most dangerous chemical experiments ever to be declared in the world to target one ant that locals had rarely seen. From the people to the wildlife, the battle for our country is immense. Many of the chemicals being used in this program have been banned in other countries around the world, has Australia become the dumping ground. This is the true story of the planet versus toxic chemical giants. Hear from the people living in ground zero, subjects in this experiment and the harm it has caused, understand the consequence for wildlife, and hear from the voices of people trying to protect their country from a world of harmful technologies distributing the poisons that is changing the fabric of a country. This film is in dedication to the country of Australia and any person that cares deeply for this nation no matter what skin colour you may wear. We fight like the indigenous fought for a better world away from corporate control and harmful technologies. The people whom live here and the ecosystems that depend on the vital need for clean, fresh water this is their story.
