Two days after the major TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) weekend closure, work continues across the route with a crane lowering materials into the trench at Huddersfield Station. This update begins at Huddersfield, where another crane has been spotted carefully lowering construction materials into the trench area created during the possession works. The video then moves to Deighton, where a flyover view shows foundations and coping stones now laid for the new Deighton railway station platforms. Finally, attention turns to Wheatley’s Colliery Bridge, where work continues on diverging a utility pipe ahead of further infrastructure works linked to the route upgrade. In this video you’ll see: • Crane activity at Huddersfield Station • Materials being lowered into the trench works • Foundations and platform copers at the new Deighton station site • Utility diversion works at Wheatley’s Colliery Bridge This forms part of ongoing coverage of the TransPennine Route Upgrade (TRU) across Huddersfield, Mirfield and Dewsbury.
