FED, STATE LEGISLATORS & COUNCIL CHAIRMEN IMPLORES FG TO COMPLETE BARO PORT ANCILLARY PROJECTS Stakeholders embarks on assessment tour to Baro Port in Niger State. The assessment tour headed by Senator Muhammad Bima Enagi of the Niger South Senatorial District is in furtherance of the effort to seeing the completion and full operations of the Baro Port by the Federal Government before the completion of the President Muhammad Buhari's administration in 2023. The tour which also featured press conference started with an homage on the Emir of Agaie Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu; to seek Royal blessings and permission. Etsu Agaie, Alhaji Yusuf Nuhu, went down the memory lane, expressing sadness over the non takeoff of full operations as expected at the Baro Port since its inauguration in January 2019. While in Baro, the delegation comprising all the Federal and state legislators, chairmen of 8 Local Government Councils in Zone 'A', Management of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), members of civil society organizations including the Blue Resolution Initiative (TBri) and journalists inspected the port and relics of colonial masters in Baro. They were also at Katcha, where Senator Bima facilitated establishment of an International Fish Market.
