Only been here once before and it is a great little place for riding. On my last visit I didn't ride most of what I did today and this was a better loop Unfortunately the edit does not really showcase the trails for a few reasons in that due to the freezing temperatures my phone battery went down to 1% as soon as I got out the car. My concern was my phone dying whilst not knowing how to get back to my car so I hesitantly proceeded with the route (following a GPX which notoriously eats your battery). Some may say schoolboy error not carrying a paper map and I do have lots of 1:25000 OS maps for all the national parks I can get to ride and some other places. I know my way around most places so accept I wasn't properly prepared but I tend to live life on the edge and it all adds to the drama of the day. Furthermore checking the phone regularly for guidance it took me an age to get half way round so I decided to cut the ride short as I was losing light and didn't fancy the above predicament also in the dark with no light on my own. I usually pack a head torch for a winter ride but for whatever reason not today Back to the ride itself there was quite a bit of tech on this and I don't mind some technical singletrack which seemed to be a fair chunk of what recorded and the GoPro (now replaced) was not happy on most of the descents and froze. This is definitely worth another visit in drier and calmer conditions although the downside is there will be more walkers around to complain but the video should give you an indication of the type of riding available It was blowing a hooley on the ridge so decided to add some music to drown it out and the bits I didn't put music on are pretty noisy with the wind ffs 4 1/2 hrs 14.5 miles, 3,000ft elevation which I'm not satisfied with so will be returning this year
