If you like family vlogs, cooking vlogs, and first-time cooking experiences, don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe ❤️ Aalu Chicken Biryani – Full Recipe 🧺 Ingredients For Chicken Masala Chicken: 1 kg (medium pieces) Potatoes: 3–4 (peeled, halved) Onions: 3 large (thinly sliced) Yogurt: 1 cup Ginger-garlic paste: 2 tbsp Green chilies: 3–4 (slit) Tomatoes: 2 (chopped) Cooking oil: 1 cup (or ¾ cup) Fresh coriander: ½ cup (chopped) Mint leaves: ½ cup Lemon juice: 2 tbsp Salt: to taste Spices Red chili powder: 2 tsp Turmeric powder: ½ tsp Coriander powder: 2 tsp Garam masala powder: 1 tsp Biryani masala: 2 tbsp Whole spices: Bay leaves 2 Green cardamom 4 Black cardamom 2 Cloves 6 Cinnamon stick 1 For Rice Basmati rice: 1 kg Water: as needed Salt: to taste Whole spices (optional): 2 cardamom, 1 bay leaf Yellow/orange food color or saffron milk 🍳 Method Step 1: Fry Onions & Potatoes Heat oil in a large pot. Fry sliced onions until golden brown. Remove half for layering. In the same oil, lightly fry potatoes until golden. Remove and set aside. Step 2: Cook Chicken Masala In the same pot, add whole spices. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté. Add chicken, salt, turmeric, red chili, coriander powder. Cook until chicken changes color. Add tomatoes and cook until soft. Add yogurt, biryani masala, green chilies. Cook on medium flame until oil separates. Add fried potatoes, half coriander & mint. Add lemon juice. Turn off heat. Step 3: Boil Rice Wash rice and soak 30 minutes. Boil water with salt and whole spices. Add rice and cook till 70% done. Drain water. Step 4: Layering On chicken masala, spread rice evenly. Add fried onions, remaining coriander & mint. Sprinkle food color or saffron milk. Cover with tight lid. Step 5: Dum (Steam) Cook on low flame for 15–20 minutes. Turn off heat and rest for 5 minutes. 🍽️ Serving Serve hot with: Raita Salad Lemon slices 🌟 Tips Don’t overcook rice. Use low flame for perfect dum. Potatoes absorb flavor—don’t skip them!
