In this video, I walk you through the 8 steps we used over 4 years to transform a dry, sagebrush-covered land area in southwest Colorado into a thriving native grass pasture. Using regenerative agriculture methods and working almost entirely by hand, we restored the land without heavy machinery or expensive tools. We also did not have a tractor or irrigation, and also didn't use any synthetic fertilizer. EDIT: I was previously told this area is the high desert, but that is not correct. Apologies for the confusion, but the methods outlined here work well, and would probably benefit a high desert area too. This is a practical guide for anyone interested in sustainable land restoration, regenerative farming, or tackling land regeneration projects in challenging high-desert environments.
