How an MLM changed my life and why I’ll never go back

Hi! I’m Katy Fassett, a Minnesota mom of 4 boys, married to my college sweetheart, and I was apart of BODi (formally Beachbody) from 2018 to 2024 before the BODi partner “opportunity” was dissolved. I know there are a plethora of “anti-MLM” creators on here, and that’s not my intention with sharing my story. I wanted to share a somewhat positive experience but also share why this isn’t a “forever” job for most people and especially for me. The time I had was definitely a huge life changer and mover for me and my family. It got me out of a funk in motherhood, it pushed me to take care of my health, it allowed me to dream again for our future, got us out of debt, and it ultimately brought our family where we are today. But with all that good, there were a lot of signs that this business wasn’t going to be sustainable in the long run and unfortunately I saw those signs AFTER the fact. I’m hoping this story can shed light on the “good” experiences someone can have in an MLM but also show that even with the good… it’s not always the best business model for people and not super sustainable in the long haul.
