allmineral has been awarded the contract to plan, equip and supply a modern coal preparation plant at the SEKAKO mine in Indonesia. The plant with a capacity of 500 tonnes per hour is to go into operation in the 350,000+ hectare coal mining region in central Kalimantan by mid-2019. The core of the plant consists of a high-performance alljig® jig F(UB) 5000 x 3400 with three chambers. allmineral is to be assisted with the implementation of the project by its long-standing partners Citec Engineering and Hazemag. Indonesia is the world’s largest exporter of thermal coal. Between 2008 and 2013, production rose from 246 million tonnes to 489 million tonnes. More than 90% of the coal is exported for heating to China, India and other Asian states. To meet the growing demand on the world market, mine operators in the newly developed mining region in Kalimantan have opted for cutting-edge processing technology from Duisburg for the efficient washing of sub-bituminous and bituminous coal with varying sulphur content. The coal washing plant is equipped with a high-performance rolling crusher and a chain conveyor by Hazemag, a long-standing partner of allmineral. It is designed to free the extracted coal of any unwanted elements such as waste rock in an efficient, sustainable and resource-friendly way and sort it into different grades. At the core of the coal preparation plant planned and supplied by allmineral within twelve months, a three-chamber alljig® jig will shortly go into operation, meticulously grading up to 500 tonnes of coal per hour. Particle sizes ranging from 80 mm to less than one millimetre are to be efficiently separated, concentrated, and cleaned. As reliable in its operation as it is cost-effective, the alljig® F(UB) 5000 x 3400 first loosens the material to be processed and fluidises it with water. During this process the grains are sorted according to density. The alljig® then separates the heavy material from the stratified material bed. The concentrate is then drained on a static screen using sensors whose signals are captured and processed electronically. In this way the volume of heavy product fed into the jigging machine can be discharged with precision. Tailings are discharged and drained at the end of the third chamber and then collected in special containers. The allmineral plant operates automatically. The discharge of coarse-grained and fine-particle material via hydraulically actuated valves is continually monitored and controlled by measuring the level and substance density where applicable. The air-pulsed und side-pulsed three-chamber alljig® jig is physically stable in operation, allowing an optimum jigging stroke for a minimum of energy consumption.
