Presenter - Brandi Wentland, M.A., CCC-SLP Abstract Using high-tech and light-tech AAC can be fun! We all learn more when we are laughing, connecting and engaging with others. This interactive session will be packed with interactive activities that you can use with your child, client or students. Bring your own high-tech and/or low-tech AAC and join us hands-on for AAC activities that will build receptive and expressive language, communication and literacy skills. Objectives 1. Participants will be able to demonstrate 2-3 strategies to teach literacy and/or pre-literacy skills for users of AAC. 2. Participants will discover 4-5 motivating activities that can be utilized to expand receptive and expressive language skills. 3. Participants will apply 3-4 communication partner techniques to hands-on interactive activities that will facilitate increased connection and communication for users of AAC.
