Its our day 4 in Hong Kong and we've moved to our city hotel in Causewaybay, The Charterhouse along Wan Chai street. The hotel was only a five minute walk from Time Square Mall and one of the more affordable hotels in the city. Conveniently located, there were several 7-11 stores, restaurants, bakeries and general stores or groceries. One of our favorite cha chaan teng is the Kawloon Restaurant along Henessy road, the serve the traditional breakfast meal that locals love., and we love eating the pineapple bun. Not made from pineapple, but only looks like one. There were several cafe's near the area, such as the Capital Cafe, and anothe Filipino favorite Jollibee is also nearby. Surprisingly, Jollibee serves croissant for breakfast. We also tried the breakfast buffer at the hotel, that cost around 80hkd per person, which is relatively cheap considering the variety of food that they serve. We also stumble upon a very popular bakeshop, the Bakehouse near Time Square, the crust of the eggtart is made with sourdough. We went there twice, the vanilla cream doughnut is also good but pricey. The eggtarts were price reasonably at 12hkd per piece. Sogo mall has a lot of discounted luxury goods. I once saw a Furla bag that sells 1300hkd and several shoe brands from Japanese designers.
