I competed in my first ever VR drifting competition on Assetto Corsa and the pressure was real. This wasn’t just a casual sim session. This was a full sim drifting competition in VR, tandem battles, chase runs, and lead runs. Drifting in virtual reality completely changes the experience the depth perception, proximity during tandems, outer zone commitment, throttle control, and transition timing all feel way more intense inside the headset.
