Please come back again and again I look forward to meeting you all in the comment section take care and I'll see you in the next one your friend Jerri in Canada Homemade Granola Recipe #### Ingredients: 3 cups rolled oats (use gluten-free if needed) 1 cup nuts (e.g., almonds, walnuts, or pecans), roughly chopped 1/2 cup seeds (e.g., pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, or flaxseeds) 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional) 1/4 cup coconut oil or olive oil (melted) 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste) I like to use 1/3 maple syrup and a few tablespoons honey. 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional) 1 cup dried fruit (e.g., raisins, cranberries, or chopped apricots), added after baking and make sure your granola is cooled down first #### Instructions: 1. *Preheat the oven* to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 2. **Mix dry ingredients**: In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, nuts, seeds, shredded coconut (if using), salt, and cinnamon. 3. **Add wet ingredients**: In a small bowl, whisk together the melted coconut oil (or olive oil), honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Pour this mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly coated. 4. **Spread on baking sheet**: Spread the granola mixture evenly onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. 5. **Bake**: Bake for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even baking. The granola is done when it’s golden brown and fragrant. 6. **Cool and add dried fruit**: Remove the granola from the oven and let it cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cooled, stir in the dried fruit. 7. **Store**: Transfer the granola to an airtight container. It will keep for up to 2 weeks at room temperature. Customizatio Tips: Add chocolate chips or cacao nibs for a chocolatey twist. Swap out nuts and seeds for your favorites or what you have on hand. Add spices like nutmeg or cardamom for extra flavour.
