What is Inter-VLAN Routing in a Stratix 5700

In this lesson we are going to talk about inter-VLAN routing using the Allen Bradley Stratix 5700. We can use routing to segment traffic between different Ethernet networks or VLANs based off of the device's IP address and subnet. This will prevent traffic from one network from being seen by another network. While devices on different VLAN segments cannot communicate with each other directly, an Ethernet switch with "Routing" features can route traffic between the different VLANS which is called inter-VLAN routing. In this example we route Ethernet traffic from a network with an IP address of 192.168.10.XXX to a different network with an IP address of 192.168.20.XXX. Not sure what video to watch next?
