Númenor's theme is one of the standout themes in The Rings of Power, being by FAR the location theme with the most reprises throughout season one. In season two, Númenor takes a back seat to the other plotlines, yet Bear still finds a way to weave in the musical growth of Númenor to prepare for what will come later. While just as majestic, grand, and ancient as it once sounded in season one, the theme leans towards a darker slant given the rulership of the devious Ar-Pharazon. The percussive beat becomes even more prominent, as do harsher sounds of the duduk/tambur/cello string hybrid sear through the militant propulsion. Even in Pharazon's greatest show of power and worthiness, the Númenor theme is swamped with male choir and ends the melody on a minor note.
